Mission Statement

Drug Abuse Recognition & Prevention uses a multi-targeted approach
that combines education with community level action to reduce the onset
of underage drinking and drug use, and to improve early intervention in
order to reduce continued substance abuse.

All community presentations include
  1. Primary Prevention: preventing the start of abusing drugs and alcohol
  2.    Secondary Prevention: prevention of addiction by stopping
    continued drug use
  3.    Parenting Skills: simple evidence-based techniques proven to
    reduce risk
  4.    Developmental Assets: protective factors proven to guard against
    substance abuse
  5.    Environmental Strategies: evidence-based strategies that
communities can use to reduce risk
